Quaint spot. Went for dessert and was blown away by both the creme brulee and the deconstructed lemon meringue pie. I plan on coming back because the main dishes looked very appetizing

Ordered a poutine, and my god was it amazing. Duck confit, red pepper gravy, true double fried fries that are perfectly crispy, and the squeakiest cheese curds you've ever had. The green onion garnish was a nice touch too. Only complaint was it was too big! Definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Great ambiance, very representative of Vieux Aylmer. Not a huge fan of sitting barstool height, so the patio is my preference. The food is perfection. Must try the fish n chips and the Poutine is something out of heaven. The lemon meringue pie is different and fun, and just so yummy.

The food is exquisite fresh tasty and clean. I would give it a 5 stars micheline or 5 forks.

L' Aubergiste is located in an old Aylmer tavern dating back to the 1800's. It's worth a visit if only for the interior walls made of rough hewn planks & plaster. The evening menu is sparse but well selected. The foie gras was excellent however the fish & chips were slightly over baked and the fries limp. The wine selection is good and the service adequate.

The food there is excellent! Their "Poutine L'aubergiste" is just amazing to eat. It has duck, prosciutto and pepper sauce and it's definitely the best poutine I've ever eaten! The staff is very professional and friendly. Food is served quickly and the drinks are replenished regularly.

I am a local and I highly recommend this place. I go there often. Good food and service. I really love the fish and chips.

Delicious little gem of a place!

Amazing food, it was a delecious adventure. Definitely recommending to try the small plates, 2 plates are good for one person. The foie gras was tasty and melting in my mouth. The main course are lacking selection, but nevertheless tastes great. We tried the fish and chips and the duck poutine, both very good and elevated. The girl that was serving was super nice and helpful.

My wife and I went for dinner there last Friday evening for our wedding anniversary. All I can say is WOW! The food is really good, my Wife had the Salmon and I had their hamburger. I've never tasted a hamburger that good, I think I commented on it to the waitress like 3 times! We will definitely go back. I highly recommend this cozy Bistro!

Menu is heavy on shellfish, which isn't for me, but the non-swimming options were wonderful. Service was also great.

The service is quick, and the food is fantastic. I never new avocado sauce was missing from fish and chips until I had it here. My partner had the duck poutine and raved about it for days. They do take out too which was great!

My wife and I felt like we were at home among friends and family. We ordered the fish and chips and they were melt-in-your-mouth!!! The service was A1, We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. We will be back soon

Very fancy and high class, didn't know such a restaurant existed in Aylmer lol. It's a bit expensive, but honestly worth it, lots of different kind of food, as in seafood, meat and a vegan plate as well. I personally really enjoyed the poutine de l'aubergiste (duck and various meats). To top it off, everyone ordered creme brulée for dessert, it was super good and it came in a decent portion, suitable for 2 people to share. I loved my experience here and will definitely be coming more often!

JUST GO, IT'S AMAZING.Call ahead to reserve, it's a very popular place and always fully reserved. You're lucky to get a table if you walk in!The staff is incredibly great, friendly, fast, family just everything you want for a perfect experience.The food is just as much of an amazing experience.It's made with a lot of care and I have not been disappointed in the 9 times I've been.Very unique menu and not in a bad way.Everything is to die for!

Great bistro in the heart of Aylmer's downtown Main Street. Loved the exposed wood beams in the interior. Small but clever menu at fair prices. Food was excellent and clearly prepared from scratch. Serving staff were friendly as well as fully biingual. Definitely a place to go to again.

Cute little date night spot. I recommend making a reso, it's hard to get into!
